Men's Golf Takes First Place at Trine's Ken Venturi Invitational

Wayne State has won all four tournaments played so far this season.

ANGOLA, Ind. -- The Wayne State University men's golf team won for the fourth time in as many tournaments on Tuesday at Trine University's Ken Venturi Invitational. Playing at Zollner Golf Course, the Warriors shot a 290 (+6) and were paced by Andrew Daily (Brighton, Mich.) at the top of the individual leaderboard with a 70 (-1).

"Outstanding play by Andrew Daily for his first collegiate win," said head coach Mike Horn. "Shawn Sehra started the day strong with a hole-in-one on the second hole using an eight iron from 150 yards, dead in the hole, perfectly struck. Good job to all of the guys that played today in windy conditions on a golf course that we don't know very well. There were 20 total teams so it was a real good showing on a little tougher than expected university course."
