DETROIT -- Wayne State University Hall of Famer and men's golf assistant coach Joe Juszczyk tied-for-fourth on May 6 at a local qualifying event for the 124th U.S. Open.  Juszczyk shot a three-under 68 at Highland Meadows Golf Club in Sylvania, Ohio, to earn one of seven spots moving on to final qualifying.

Juszczyk now has a chance to continue his path to this year's U.S. Open which will be played at Pinehurst Resort & Country Club on June 13-16.  Final qualifying takes place at 13 sites throughout the U.S. on May 20 and June 3.  Juszczyk's final qualifying will be 36 holes on Monday, June 3 at The Bear's Club in Jupiter, Fla.  A list of all 13 final qualifying locations can be found at the link above.
