HOLLAND, Mich. -- The Wayne State University women's swimming & diving program wrapped up its four-day stay at the 2025 GLIAC Championships on Saturday night inside the Holland Aquatic Center. The Warriors placed third in the five-team field with a total of 650 points.
After winning the 1650 free, grad student
Barbara Munoz is now an eight-time league champion including four as an individual, three of which came this week (1000 free, 200 fly). The Colombia native also won the 200 fly at last season's event.
"This Warrior team is truly amazing!," said head coach
Sean Peters. "All year, they have been training hard for this moment, and we delivered in a big way! I am extremely proud and grateful of this Warrior team, because they have truly committed themselves to the staples of a successful program — work hard, support your teammates, commit to academic success, get engaged with the department and community, and our senior leadership was instrumental for our success. Go Warriors!"
