RICHMOND, Ky. -- The Wayne State University men's golf team finished in second place out of 18 squads at the Findlay Spring Invitational on Tuesday, just four strokes behind Missouri S&T at the top. The Miners needed an 18 under on day two to outlast the Warriors, who also finished with their best 18-hole mark of the tournament at nine under.
"The Warriors battled heavy winds yesterday and cold temperatures today," said head coach
Mike Horn. "Great playing by the entire squad, including
Josh Lahner as an individual. Congrats to
Josh DiCarlo for coming in tied-for-second and congrats to all the team members for battling to the very end. We overcame the two teams in front of us, but hats off to Missouri S&T for a outstanding -18 in the third round. I'm very proud of the guys and look forward to our next time we tee it up at Ashland."
