ASHLAND, Ohio -- The Wayne State University men's golf team is in first place among nine squads after two rounds of play at the Ashland Spring Invitational. The Warriors are also playing with a "B" Team that's in third. Individually, WSU has been paced by
Josh DiCarlo in a tie-for-second for the 50-player field.
"Fantastic day for the Warriors," said head coach
Mike Horn. "Up and down the lineup, the guys played really, really well and battled rainy windy conditions to start the day. We were eight or nine guys deep with really good play and I can't say enough good things about everybody even though a couple scores that weren't where we want them to be. We're still in the ballpark. We are going to have to sharpen things up for tomorrow to hold off Missouri S&T. I look forward to a highly contested third round tomorrow."
