Josh DiCarlo (Amherstburg, Ont. / General Amherst) of the Wayne State University men's golf team was named GLIAC Men's Golfer of the Week for the second time this season and third instance in his career on Wednesday, as announced by the league office.
The most-recent honor comes after DiCarlo claimed his second Medalist Honor of the season (second in three tournaments) on Monday and third of his career. The graduate student won Wayne State's Motor City Meltdown on Monday after a 36-hole score of 143 (-1, 71-72), two strokes better than the next-best mark, and led WSU to its eighth first place showing of 2024-25. The Ontario native became the 10th player in program history to win three or more tournaments and first since Brendan Seys won his third of five in 2017.

DiCarlo and his teammates will begin postseason play on Friday with the GLIAC Championships at Bedford Valley Golf Course in Battle Creek, Mich. The 10-team field will play 18 holes on Friday and 18 more on Saturday for the Stroke Play Championship. Then the top four teams in the standings will face off for the Medal Match Play Championship semifinals with the two winners going head to head on Sunday for the finals.
