Women's Soccer Announces Another Group of Transfers

Ayris, Max and Osgood join the Warriors.

DETROIT -- Doug Steinard, the inaugural head coach for the Wayne State University women's soccer program, has announced his second group of transfers as he builds his roster for the first season this fall.

These transfers have enrolled at WSU and will be members of the squad for the inaugural season in program history.

Becoming Warriors are goalkeeper Alice Max (Rochester Hills, Mich. / Rochester [Grand Valley State]), along with defenders Addison Ayris (Washington, Mich. / Romeo [Detroit Mercy]) and Sydney Osgood (Plymouth, Mich. [Detroit Mercy]).

"The second group of transfers will continue to build on our roster," remarked Steinard.  "Each of them brings valuable skills to the program.  We are excited to add all our transfers to a great freshman class."

Fall 2025:  Was a member of the Grand Valley State University women's basketball team during the fall semester, but did not see any playing time.

High School:  A 2025 graduate of Rochester High School ... was a four-year letterwinner for coaches Doug Steinard and Has Daoud ... selected to the 2025 Michigan High School Soccer Coaches Association Division 1 All-State Second Team, after garnering Honorable Mention All-State recognition as a junior ... compiled a career record of 60-10-13 with a school record 35 shutouts ... helped the Falcons record a 60-11-13 mark in her four seasons, including two Oakland Activities Association Red Division titles in 2022 and 2023 ... was a four-year basketball letterwinner for the Falcons earning All-State honors three times, while scoring 1,266 points ... set RHS records for blocked shots in a season and a career ... led the Falcons in points, rebounds and blocks all four years ... was a two-year team captain in basketball ... earned Academic All-State recognition in both sports all four years ... graduated as an AP Scholar of Distinction.

2025:
 Played in two contests for the Detroit Mercy Titans ... made season debut at Western Michigan, playing nine minutes ... saw 20 minutes of action vs. Madonna.

2024:  Appeared in two games for the Detroit Mercy Titans ... made collegiate debut vs. Chicago State, playing 17 minutes ... saw six minutes of action at Oakland ... selected to the UDM Athletic Director Honor Roll for academic success.

2023:  Redshirted at the University of Detroit Mercy.

High School:  A 2023 graduate of Plymouth High School ... was a three-year letterwinner for the Wildcats since freshman season was canceled due to COVID ... ranked second on the squad in goals as a sophomore.

Osgood ... born on January 22, 2005, in Plymouth, Mich. ... daughter of Chris and Jenna Osgood ... father was a goalie in the National Hockey League from 1993 until 2011, primarily with the Detroit Red Wings and compiled a 401-216-95 regular-season record with 50 shutouts ... father was on three Stanley Cup Championship teams and twice won the William Jennings Trophy ... has one brother, Max, and one sister, Kenzie ... plans to major in Communications.
