Women's Soccer Adds Two More Transfers

DETROIT -- First-year head women's soccer coach Doug Steinard has continued to fill out his roster for the inaugural season this fall by adding two transfers.  Joining the Warriors are forward Mallory Botten from Michigan-Dearborn and midfielder Jenna Moeller from Siena Heights.

"This group of transfers will continue to build on our roster," stated Steinard.  "Each of them brings valuable skills to the program.  We are excited to add all our transfers to a great freshman class."

2025:
 Attended the University of Michigan Dearborn for one semester before transferring to WSU in January of 2026 ... selected to the WHAC (Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference) All-Newcomer Team after leading the University of Michigan-Dearborn with 12 points on four goals and four assists ... played in 17 matches for the Wolverines, making 13 starts ... scored UMD's lone goal in a 2-1 setback at Georgetown (Ky.) ... tallied two first half goals in a 3-3 draw at Cleary ... netted UMD's lone goal in a 1-1 tie with Aquinas ... garnered assists vs. Shawnee State, Defiance, Rochester Christian and at Indiana Tech.

High School:  A 2025 graduate of Grosse Ile High School ... was a four-year letterwinner for the Red Devils ... helped GIHS compile a 62-17-12 record in four seasons, including back-to-back state championship game appearances in 2023 and 2024 ... selected to the Michigan High School Soccer Coaches Association Division 3 All-State First Team in both 2024 and 2025 after receiving All-News Herald recognition both seasons ... totaled 61 points as a junior with 20 goals and 21 assists in 24 contests with five game-winning goals ... played first three seasons for coach Kyle Lesperance and her senior season for Jonathan Evans ... GIHS won 15 state playoff contests during prep career, including a district title all four years ... also competed in basketball ... received Academic Honors.
