Five Members of Men's Golf Team Garner GLIAC All-Academic Honors

Three of those five student-athletes made it onto the Excellence Team.

DETROIT -- Five members of the 2025-26 Wayne State University men's golf squad were recognized with Academic All-GLIAC honors. The men's golf program has had 95 GLIAC All-Academic honorees over the last 10 years.

Criteria states that student-athlete must be an active member on their respective sport roster at the end of the season, and not a true freshman or a first-year transfer student.

Grade-point averages listed are calculated through the winter semester.

The three student-athletes that were included on the All-Academic Excellence Team for maintaining a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.5 were senior Harrison Chapman (Marshall, Mich.), redshirt sophomore Andrew Daily (Brighton, Mich.), and redshirt senior Shawn Sehra (Windsor, Ont. / Academy 21) [Xavier]).

Both Chapman (Sport Management - 3.55) and Daily (Finance - 3.54) made the Excellence Team for the first time in their collegiate careers. Daily was on the All-Academic Team last season (first-year eligible), while Chapman was on that team in each of the prior two seasons. Sehra (Finance - 4.00) was on the squad for a second-straight season after transferring from Xavier.

Daily was also recognized with College Sports Communicators (CSC, formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District honors.

Redshirt freshmen Troy Chapman (Lexington, Ohio) and Jack Julian (South Lyon, Mich.) were both on the All-Academic Team for maintaining a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0-3.49. The duo of Chapman (Finance - 3.10) and Julian (Management - 3.09) were eligible for the first time in their collegiate careers.

The men's golf team had a total of six student-athletes that were on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll for a term GPA of 3.5 or better. Two Warriors achieved a perfect 4.0 term GPA for the Winter 2026 semester.
