Men's Golf Adds Palomares To 2026-27 Roster

DETROIT -- Wayne State University head men's golf coach Mike Horn, who enters his 26th season guiding the Warriors this fall, has announced the addition of Jacob Palomares for the 2026-27 academic year.

"Jacob comes to us with a ton of experience," remarked Horn.  "His competition in the Toyota Cup in California for Juniors is remarkable.  He is not afraid of the moment and not afraid to jump right in no matter what it is.  He's been extremely helpful on campus already and I look forward to him fighting for the starting lineup.  His experience should translate to immediate success, but he's got a lot of work to do to get used to bent and Kentucky bluegrass, fairways and greens.  He comes from an extremely athletic family as his sister played softball for Team Mexico in the Olympics."
