Sophomore Devin Hentschel (Wyoming, Mich. / Rogers) hit .533 (8-for-15) to help lead Wayne State to its fourth straight GLIAC Tournament title and secured its fourth consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament. She scored four runs, hit two doubles and drove in the game-winning run against SVSU in the winner-take-all title game. She posted a .667 slugging percentage and a .556 on-base percentage while not making an error.
