Women's Track and Field Tied-For-Sixth After First Day Of GLIAC Championships

ALLENDALE, Mich. -- The Wayne State University women's outdoor track and field squad is tied-for-sixth out of 10 schools after the first full day of competition at the 2024 GLIAC Championships.

WSU competitors notched one school record (Keneisha Thomas in 400m hurdles prelims) and equaled another school mark (Hanne Bastiaansen in the 200m dash prelims). In addition to these two marks, Warriors registered nine all-time top 10 marks in program history.

The 10,000m race was postponed from Thursday evening due to potential weather issues, and will now be at 9:40 a.m. on Friday.
