Men's Golf Finishes Day One of Findlay Spring Invitational in Top 10

The Warriors are sixth in a loaded 20-squad field following Monday's two rounds.

RICHMOND, Ky. -- The Wayne State University men's golf team wrapped up its first day of action at Findlay's Spring Invitational on Monday evening at Boone's Trace National GC. It was a tale of two rounds for WSU, as the Green and Gold shot a 10-over 298 across round one, but salvaged a top-10 day by carding an overall three-under 285 in round two. That round, tied for the fourth-best score amongst 20 participating schools, propelled the Warriors to sixth with a score of 583 (+7, 298-285) as a squad.

Wayne State's five-man contingent (plus two competing as individuals) was paced by Andrew Daily (Brighton, Mich.), who sits in a tie for 18th at even par. The redshirt sophomore shot a one-over 73 in round one, before tallying a one-under round of 71 for the second session.
