Women's Outdoor Track & Field Breaks School Record With 29 Academic All-GLIAC Honorees

WSU also had a school record 23 Excellence Team recipients.

DETROIT -- The Wayne State University women's outdoor track and field program set a school record with 29 GLIAC All-Academic Team recipients for the 2024 season. The 23 All-Academic Excellence honorees shattered the previous mark of 18 set last year. Wayne State has had 156 GLIAC All-Academic honorees over the last eight years.

Criteria states the student-athlete must be an active member on the roster at the end of the season, and not a freshman or a first-year transfer student.
