Wayne State University Athletics

Tom Gorman joined the Wayne State University athletic department in August 2005 as a sports information intern. He was named assistant sports information director in July 2006 and is the primary media contact for volleyball, women[apos]s hockey, golf, swimming & diving, and baseball. From September 2003 until September 2004, Gorman served as a public/media relations intern for the Toledo Mud Hens, the Triple-A affiliate for the Detroit Tigers. He also has over three years of experience in facility and event management at both the collegiate and recreational levels combined. A 1999 graduate of Troy High School, Gorman earned a bachelor[apos]s degree from the University of Michigan in sports management & communications in 2003 and a master[apos]s degree in sports administration from Wayne State in 2006. He is a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Gorman currently resides in Royal Oak with his wife, Katie.
