Biography


Bob Ostrowski has worked at Wayne State University since 1978 following four years as a school teacher, coach and athletic director at Eastside Vicariate. He was promoted to assistant director of athletics for facilities in January 2007.

He received the President[apos]s Merit Award from WSU in 1992, the men[apos]s basketball booster award in 1992 and also Appreciation Awards for the Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot and Special Olympics. Ostrowski received the Facility, Planning and Management[apos]s Commitment to Dedication award in 1999 and the Building Coordinator Program[apos]s Service award in 2002.

The Highland Park native graduated from WSU with bachelor[apos]s degree in health and physical education in 1974 and received his master[apos]s in sports administration from WSU in 1994. He is also a member of the adjunct faculty with the College of Education at WSU.

Ostrowski and his wife, Lynn, have been married for more than 30 years and have three children, Anthony, Jeffrey and Ashley. Anthony and Jeffrey both graduated from WSU with engineering degrees while Ashley is a senior at WSU majoring in physical therapy. He also had his first grandson born in March of 2008.
