Kyle Hill was a four-year baseball letterwinner (2004-07), who helped the Warriors win 105 games overall and 68 GLIAC contests.
A First Team All-GLIAC pitcher as well as an ABCA/Rawling All-Region First Team selection in 2005, Hill led WSU to a GLIAC regular-season title and the first NCAA appearance in program history that season.
A two-time All-GLIAC Second Team pitcher in 2004 and 2007, Hill was selected as WSU's Top Pitcher in 2004 and 2005 and shared the honor in 2007 with Anthony Bass.
His 24 career wins matched the school record at the time, a mark that stood for 17 years. Â He either led or tied for the team lead in wins each of his first three seasons before finishing third in the GLIAC as a senior with a 2.52 ERA.
Hill's 13 starts in 2005 was tied-for-fifth in the WSU single-season record book, while his nine victories tied-for-third. Â His eight complete games as a senior tied-for-fifth.Â
When he graduated, Hill had the top two strikeout/walk ratios for a single season in program history and still holds the career ratio (3.60) with 173 strikeouts to 48 walks.
Hill's program record of 45 career starts stood for 17 years, while his 20 complete games in still tied-for-second in WSU history. Â He was second in career innings pitched (271.1).
The Mississauga, Ont., native tossed a complete-game no hitter at Mercyhurst for his first collegiate victory.
A three-time member of the GLIAC All-Academic Team, Hill earned a bachelor's degree in English in 2008, and a master's in Teaching Secondary Education in 2010. Â He was on the Academic Honor Roll all eight semesters, including five terms on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll (term GPA 3.5+).
