Shareta M. Brown was a two-year basketball letterwinner (2013-15), who was the consensus National Player of the Year in 2014-15.

Brown concluded her WSU career first in scoring average (21.1), rebounds (769), field goal percentage (63.9%) and rebounding average (13.0 rpg), second in free throws made (342), third in both points (1,245) and free throws attempted (433), fifth in free throw percentage (79.0 / 342-433), eighth in blocked shots per game (0.8), 11th in both field goals made (437) and steals per game (2.2), 12th in both blocked shots (46) and three-point field goal percentage (34.1 / 29-85; min. 25 made), 17th in minutes per game (29.7), 20th in assists per game (2.5), 23rd in steals (132), and 25th in assists (149).  She scored in double figures in 57 of her 59 games played helping the Warriors to a 46-14 record.

As a senior, she was voted the WSU Female Student-Athlete of the Year after being named the 2015 DII Woman of the Year nominee for basketball.  Brown earned the WBCA Division II Player of the Year award as well as First Team All-America accolades.  She was named the Women's Division II Basketball Bulletin Player of the Year along with First Team All-America honors and was selected Daktronics National Player of the Year as well as First Team All-American.

The GLIAC Player of the Year (just the second WSU player in program history joining Lori Januszkiewicz in 1983-84), Brown earned First Team All-GLIAC and GLIAC All-Defensive Team honors.  She was also named to the GLIAC All-Academic Team.

In her senior season, Brown was an eight-time GLIAC Player of the Week recipient and earned USBWA National Player of the Week honors twice.  She scored at least 12 points in all 29 games and set the WSU single-season records for points (639), free throws made (177) and rebounds (427) for the second straight year.

In her first season with the Green and Gold, Brown was voted to the Daktronics All-America First Team (the first ever WSU women's basketball player to be a First Team All-American), along with being selected to the WBCA and Division II Bulletin Honorable Mention All-America Teams.  She was voted to the Daktronics All-Midwest Region First Team after being named to the All-GLIAC First Team as well as the GLIAC All-Defensive Team.  Brown became the first player in WSU women's basketball history with a 600-point season.

During the 2013-14 campaign, she led the GLIAC in points (606), field goal percentage (62.9), offensive rebounds (133) and steals (74), while ranking second in defensive rebounds (209), total rebounds (342), rebounds per game (11.4), points per game (20.2) and points per 40 minutes (27.6).

A native of Pontiac, Brown earned her degree in Criminal Justice and was twice on the Academic Honor Roll.
