Logan White was a four-year softball letterwinner (2011-14), who earned All-Region accolades three times and was the 2013-14 WSU Female Student-Athlete of the Year.
White concluded her collegiate career in the top four in seven different categories: Â second in stolen bases (36), third in both batting average (.385) and hit by pitches (21), and fourth in games started (222), at bats (725), runs scored (152) and hits (279).
She was also in the top seven in triples (tied-for-fifth with nine), on-base percentage (seventh at .417), and total bases (tied-for-seventh with 330).
White led WSU to a 140-81-1 record, starting all 222 games in her career. Â The Warriors won three consecutive GLIAC Tournament titles, advancing to the NCAA Tournament all three seasons. Â Wayne State also won an NCAA Midwest Regional title in 2014, which resulted in an appearance in the College World Series.
On the field, White earned NFCA All-Region Second Team honors each of her final three seasons, as well as Daktronics All-Midwest Region Second Team recognition as a senior.
White was a three-time All-GLIAC performer receiving First Team accolades in 2012 and back-to-back Second Team recognition in 2013 and 2014. Â She held three of the top 12 single-season batting average marks in school history when she graduated and finished with 33 career three-hit games.
A four-time NFCA (National Fastpitch Coaches Association) All-America Scholar-Athlete, White received CoSIDA Academic All-America Third Team recognition in both 2012 and 2014. Â
In addition to being a two-time Deans’ Award recipient for having the highest cumulative Grade-Point Average of any student-athlete in the College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts, she was also a three-time GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team selection.
A native of Brantford, Ont., White was on the Academic Honor Roll all eight semesters, including seven terms above a 3.5 on her way to earning a bachelor’s degree in Media Arts and Studies.Â
