Michael L. Hollingsworth, Sr., who was a three-year basketball letterwinner (2009-14), became just the fifth player in WSU history with at least 990 points, 300 rebounds, 145 assists, 80 steals and 60 triples.
The two-time First Team All-GLIAC selection (2010-11 and 2012-13) helped the Warriors to four consecutive winning seasons (both overall and in the GLIAC).
Hollingsworth, who was voted to the 2011 GLIAC All-Tournament team, scored 22 points (and grabbed 15 rebounds) in the championship game victory at Ferris State, including the game-winning tip-in with 1.3 seconds left. Â He scored in double figures in his last 20 games and 27 of his 29 games played.
The 2011-12 GLIAC Pre-season Player of the Year and Sporting News Pre-season Honorable Mention All-American was averaging 17 points per contest before an injury ended his season after six games.
He was a three-time GLIAC North Division Player of the Week as a redshirt junior when he averaged nearly 15 points per game.
He scored 991 points in his collegiate career in just over 2,100 minutes while starting 59 of 82 games played. Â Hollingsworth connected on 64 three-point attempts and grabbed 308 rebounds, while dishing out 149 assists and recording 84 steals. Â He finished his career with a .529 field goal percentage (361-of-683).
Hollingsworth ranked among the all-time best at WSU in field goal percentage, points, free throws made, steals, three-pointers made, field goals made, three-point field goal percentage, game started and assists. Â
The Psychology major scored in double figures 51 times, including 16 contests of at least 20 points.
